La Dispensa dei Monti Lattari Celebrates the Excellence of the Territory with a Focus on Food and Wine Tourism

Castellammare di Stabia, 18 April 2024 – Today, at the evocative Royal Palace of Quisisana, an event of regional resonance began: “The Dispensa dei Monti Lattari – Territories in the Network, Excellence in the Dispensa, Experiential Tourism”. The event, organized with care and dedication by the Extraordinary Commission of the Municipality of Castellammare di Stabia, brought together illustrious personalities from the institutional, cultural and food and wine scene of Campania.

At 10:00, the Royal Palace of Quisisana welcomed the participants to the event, marking the beginning of a day dedicated to the valorisation of the territory and its resources. Dr. Tristano Dello Iojo, President of the Monti Lattari Regional Park, and the lawyer. Mariella Verdoliva, President of the Monti Lattari Foundation, welcomed those present, underlining the importance of promoting the food and wine heritage of the region.

Focus on Food and Wine Tourism

The event saw the participation of illustrious speakers who explored the link between the Dispensa dei Monti Lattari and food and wine tourism. Among the speakers, Dr. Antonio Limone, Director of the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Southern Italy, Dr. Salvatore Loffreda, Director of Coldiretti Campania, and Dr. Gabriele Saurio, Regional Artistic Director of poc, offered interesting ideas and concrete proposals for enhance the territory through its culinary excellence.

To close the proceedings, Dr. Rosanna Romano of the General Directorate for Cultural Policies and Tourism offered an overview of the future prospects for the development of food and wine tourism in the Lattari Mountains. The day was masterfully moderated by the journalist Marina D’Apice, who was able to conduct the interventions with professionalism and liveliness.

During the coffee break, the students of IPSSEOA Raffaele Viviani of Castellammare di Stabia delighted those present with tastings of typical products of the region, offering a unique and authentic sensorial experience.

“The Pantry of the Lattari Mountains” it is therefore confirmed as an event of great importance for the valorisation of the Campania region, highlighting the inseparable link between culture, territory and gastronomy.
