A 35-year-old man died this morning at 10.50 on a Turin-Lamezia Terme flight

The man apparently felt ill when the plane – Ryanair flight fr8780r – was almost halfway through the journey, but the commander’s request to land on other airports would have been denied. Then the about turn to return to Caselle. Meanwhile the 35-year-old has been rescue on board and the 112 alarm had already been raised. Once landed, however, the man did not make it and died. The young man felt ill during the journey, but the commander was forced to return to Caselle because there was no possibility of landing elsewhere. Once alerted, the ambulance reached the track escorted by the Traffic Police.

According to initial reconstructions, the young man suddenly collapsed on the seat, struck by a sudden illness. The passengers and crew immediately alerted the on-board staff, who provided first aid and attempted to resuscitate the young man.

However, his condition immediately appeared very serious and the commander decided to divert the flight to Turin Caselle, the nearest airport equipped with adequate medical facilities. Unfortunately, despite the emergency landing and the timely arrival of the ambulance, the young man died shortly after reaching the ground.

The young man’s family has been informed of the tragedy and is now in a state of shock. The causes of the illness that struck the 35-year-old are still to be ascertained. The Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office has opened an investigation to shed light on the matter and establish whether there was negligence or delays in the rescue. Many wonder if more could have been done to save the young man’s life.

The incident has put the spotlight on the efficiency of airport emergency systems. It is essential that in similar situations relief is timely and that all procedures are followed correctly to avoid tragedies like this.
