The first appointment of the 13th edition of the Bustesi Guitar and Mandolin Meetings is scheduled for Saturday 20 April at 9.00 pm at the Sala Pro Busto in Via Cesare Battisti 12, and will feature the Arte del Pizzico ensemble.
This formation is an extraordinary fusion of talents, made up of passionate musicians who have dedicated their academic career at the G. Verdi conservatory in Milan to the in-depth study of historical plucked string instruments and ancient music.
The Arte del Pizzico ensemble came to life thanks to the vision and dedication of the founders Anh Tuan Auriemma, Federica Battaglia and Giacomo Giabelli. They themselves were the creators of this splendid musical adventure, bringing to the stage a symphony of emotions and sophistication that touches the hearts of anyone who listens to their performances.
The scheduled concert promises a fascinating journey through the musical riches of Italy, divided into two intriguing parts:
In the first half, we will explore the rich Lombard repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries, characterized by the fascinating sounds of the 4, 5 and 6 course instruments that thrived in the North of our land. There will be a real immersion in the variations on a bass ostinato, followed by enthralling trios composed by Milanese authors such as Monza and Chiesa, who dominated an era of fervent cultural activity, performing in the prestigious theaters of La Scala and in the majestic Palazzo Ducale and at the Cathedral.
In the second half of the concert we will venture into the vibrant world of the Neapolitan baroque mandolin, which with its shape and tuning, which closely recall the modern image of the mandolin, will be the undisputed protagonist of this part of the concert. Thus we will listen to the engaging melodies of composers such as Barbella, Cedronio and Cauciello, virtuoso ordinary of the King of Naples.

Participation in the concert is free but reservations are recommended and can be made, while seats last, on the website www.mandolinistibustesi.it or by calling the Amadeus Musica store on 0331 620598.
