The Rotary Clubs of Marsala donate books to the V Circolo “F. De Vita”

The Rotary Clubs of Marsala have collected and donated fiction books for children and adults with the aim of enriching the library of the V Circolo “F. De Vita” by Strasatti to make it not only a school library, but also a cultural aggregation center for the neighborhood.

The delivery ceremony of the books collected by the three Club services took place on Saturday 13 April, in the presence of the Club’s Director of Administrative Services,
Antonino De Pasquale, and the Director Vita D’Amico who thanked all the members for their commitment and explained the desire to include the V Circolo library in the National Library Service.

The President of the Rotary Club Marsala Francoise Bouix underlined the fact that the activity is part of the Club’s commitment to the “Marsala, City that Reads” project and
in Rotary International’s commitment to its fifth area of ​​intervention: literacy and basic education.

The Rotaract Club Marsala, present at the ceremony with a large number of members, with the president Claudia Bilardello who wanted to emphasize the importance of
create a social library in the hamlet of Strasatti which can be a driving force for cultural growth.

Even the youngest members of the Rotarian family, the kids from the Interact Club Marsala, contributed to the donation and its President recalled that this is not the first activity of its kind. In fact, the Club has already collected and donated books both to the pediatric department of the Borsellino Hospital in Marsala and to a family home in the area.
