The best students in Italy, coming from all over the country and from Italian schools abroad, compete at the Tilgher in Ercolano which until 18 April is the location of the finals of the XIII Edition of the Italian Championships. There are 100 students taking the various tests.
“It’s nice to see so many excellences gathered in Ercolano. Investing in culture, tourism and legality also means making the city and its schools home to initiatives that cultivate and promote the talent of our best students. These days represent a moment of discussion and an opportunity for all of us” – explains Ciro Buonajuto, mayor of Ercolano and national vice-president of the ANCI.
“I would like to thank the Ministry of Education and Merit for choosing the city of Ercolano and our school, Tilgher, as the venue for the final of the Italian Championships. This event represents a precious moment of cultural growth and valorisation of our territory for the entire community. We are honored to be able to host such a significant occasion and we are ready to enthusiastically welcome all the participants and enthusiasts of this important event” – declared the Headmaster, Rossella Di Matteo.
“An event resulting from the synergy and collaboration that saw all the institutions of the city working together, the Municipality, the MAV, the Archaeological Park, Radio Siani, everyone made their professionalism and spaces available so that everything went smoothly, creating , in this way, a very effective collaboration network” – declared the prof. Raffaele Aratro, school contact person for the organization of the final.
The awards ceremony will be held on Friday 18 April at 11:00 at the Virtual Archaeological Museum of Herculaneum.
