It was a night of terror for four young people from Palermo aged 22 and 24. They were attacked and robbed in the Cep neighborhood of Palermo by about ten of their peers who beat them and hit them with their helmets and with kicks and punches.
It happened at three in the morning. Three boys on board a Renault Captur accompanied a friend of theirs who had to deliver pizzas and drinks worth around 100 euros in the square to the Cep on behalf of a club. It was late and the last delivery and the three friends offered to follow the boy on the scooter to the delivery location. Once the young people who had ordered the pizzas and beers arrived on site, they tried to pay the bill with fake money. The young rider refused to deliver the order and was trying to return to the venue. He was confronted by some boys who beat him. At least seven others joined the three attackers. Ten of them threw him to the ground and beat him with kicks, punches and helmet blows. The three friends came to the rescue and they too were beaten. However, they managed to free him from the pack and try to escape. The attackers also threw themselves against the car and broke the rear window. The young people attacked have been reported and have a prognosis of 21 days.
The police intervened and acquired images from the surveillance systems and telephone records to trace the person who placed the order for the pizzas and identify the gang that attacked four boys and sent them to hospital for 100 euros. Throughout last night the military combed the streets surrounding the Cep square to try to identify those who took part in the beating and who will have to answer for injuries and robbery.
