“At the forefront next to young talents”

“It will be a real artistic invasion on the streets of the city that will animate Catanzaro in the spring weeks. A complex and varied proposal which sees the municipal administration at the forefront of promoting a new exhibition entitled “May of Art”, in close synergy with the Academy of Fine Arts, the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Higher Institute “De Nobles.” A program that is the perfect mix between different forms of expression, from figurative arts to music, with the aim of making the student and youth community an active part in the process of cultural promotion and social aggregation. Leaving the classrooms of their respective training places, the students together with the students of the Academy and the Conservatory will propose a full calendar of events designed specifically to contaminate the city with positive stimuli. Outdoor concerts, performances, workshops such as those on the art of recycling, to combine tradition with innovation and re-animate alleys and places of the city which will be transformed into small outdoor laboratories. Events capable of enhancing the work carried out by the city’s artistic training institutes and offering a showcase to emerging talents in a path of active citizenship”.

The President of the Municipal Council declared this in a note, Gianmichele Bosco.

“I like to underline that “The May of Art” will characterize not only the most recognized and canonical corners of the historic center, but will also touch neighborhoods such as Lido, Sant’Elia and Santa Maria, in an ideal embrace that aims to be an opportunity for meeting and of exchange. There is therefore a lot of enthusiasm and desire to do in this phase of preparation for the events, in the hope that “the good weather” will be, above all, an incentive to leave the house and spend moments of growth together with and for our young people.”
