Italy is, in fact, at the mercy of cold and unstable currents coming from Scandinavia. The first wave of bad weather will cross the country in the next few hours from the Marche towards the South, after having hit the North: temperatures will drop by up to 12°C on the Adriatic side, falling below the average for the period. Minimum values ​​will drop in clear areas during the night, while maximum values ​​will continue to fall almost everywhere at least until Saturday. Precipitation will be more intense in the afternoon in Abruzzo, Molise and the southern peninsula, locally also in the Triveneto. Snow is expected on Thursday in the Apennines, from Tuscany to Molise, above 1000 meters and in the Alps and scattered thunderstorms. Also on Friday the rains will continue to be the protagonists in the Centre-South with phenomena that are at times widespread and persistent.

This first disturbed and cold impulse for the period will leave Italy on Friday 19 April in the evening. A second Scandinavian pulse will arrive over the weekend which will cause thunderstorms especially in the central-southern regions.
