The soldiers of the provincial command of the financial police of Florence, as part of the device to combat illicit trafficking and economic control of the territory, seized 63 kilos of hashish, ready to be distributed on the Tuscan market. The narcotic would have earned criminal organizations an illicit profit estimated at over 400 thousand euros. The drugs were “intercepted” by the Gico economic-financial police unit during a patrol along the main road access roads to the capital, in a car driven by a man of Moroccan origin with no prior record. What made the yellow flames suspicious during the check was the evident nervousness of the driver. During the inspection of the vehicle, carried out with the help of the canine unit of the 1st metropolitan operational unit of Florence, the military detected structural differences in the loading compartment compared to the approval standards. Under the rear floor of the vehicle, a homemade false bottom was discovered where 61 blocks of hashish were stored inside.
