Finally, some considerations on table grapes: “The quality of table grapes depends on carpometric, rheological and organoleptic characteristics of the grapefor example the uniform coloring of the grapes takes on ever greater value as does the shelf life. Aspects related to packaging are of great importance. Research, innovation, planning and aggregation represent the four pillars necessary to continue to guarantee Italy a role as a leading country in the international table grape context”.

Macfrut Table Grape Symposium
The whole world of table grapes meets at Macfrut in a three-day event (8-10 May 2024) which brings together the entire supply chain: top players, market operators, universities, agronomists, sector technicians. The protagonist is table grapes, the symbolic product of the 41st edition of Macfrut, with Puglia, the main producer in Italy, a partner region of the Fair.
Three events of the Symposium: the Macfrut Table Grape Symposium on the first day with experts from all over the world (8 May); Macfrut Table Grape Global Players on market trends and production performance (Thursday 9 May); Table grape in the field with technical visits to a test field set up inside the fair (Friday 10 May). The Symposium is coordinated by Bruno Mezzetti of the Polytechnic University of Marche.(gc)
