(ANSA) – GENOA – APRIL 16 – The public prosecutors Francesca Rombolà and Giancarlo Vona have asked for over 33 years in prison and an acquittal for the fans of the Genoa accused of allegedly extorting the club in exchange for support when he was president Enrico Preziosi.
The prosecution also requested the transmission of documents to investigate former CEO Alessandro Zarbano for perjury: according to the prosecution he lied during his testimony at the trial. The highest sentence (8 years) was requested for Massimo Leopizzi, believed to be the leader of the fans and of the criminal association set up to extort money from the club. Seven years and 10 months were also requested for Arthur Marashi and three years and seven months for Fabrizio Fileni: the first, for the prosecution, is “a clean face with the rossoblù management but which shares the criminal intentions with Leopizzi”, the second is “the material executor of what the boss dictated”.
A year and three months were also requested for Davide Traverso, at the time president of the Genoa Club association: for the prosecutors he was “the link between Leopizzi, whose directives he followed, and the club. The group, for the accusation, is responsible for a “state of subjection, the climate of blackmail, and a parallel justice in which even from afar a phone call from the ultras leader of the Speloncia Brigade, Massimo Leopizzi, was enough to decide the government actions” of the North Steps” . At the time, the fans would have created a “disturbance of public order like never before in Italy”. In addition to Zarbano, the prosecutors also requested the transmission of documents for Valerio Bencivenni, an employee of a Foce bakery who allegedly received intimidation. (HANDLE)
