three notices worth 1.3 million

The regional Department of Productive Activities has issued the new tender “Sicily who likes 2024″ to support events, fairs and promotional campaigns for Sicilian products and production systems with capital contributions. Strengthened by last year’s experience, the department has re-proposed, with a total financial allocation of 1.3 million euros, the measure aimed at small businesses on the island that aim for local economic growth and the diversification of the offer of products and services, contributing to a significant impact on the communities in which they operate. There are three warnings.

The first is aimed at private companies and provides 600 thousand euros for micro-enterprises, legal representatives, production districts and natural commercial centres; the maximum financing for each project cannot exceed the amount of 25 thousand euros (including VAT). The second notice of 300 thousand euros will be used to finance trade associations and former non-profit organizations, whose proposals can receive a maximum of 20 thousand euros each. A third notice is addressed to local authorities, even in associated form, residing in Sicily, allocating 400 thousand euros to finance each initiative with a maximum of 10 thousand euros in capital account. The three notices of “Sicily that pleases” concern companies in the agri-food, crafts, nautical and maritime economy, stone and home systems, fashion and goldsmithing, information and communication technologies, mechatronics sectors.

Initiatives relating to the primary production sector of agriculture, fishing, aquaculture and the tourism sector, which do not fall within the scope of competence of the Department of Productive Activities, are excluded. Furthermore, initiatives concerning agri-food products, even if processed, whose brands are subject to protection by a recognized consortium (Doc, Docg, Igt, Igp, Dop and Stg products) are excluded, as they are of specific support, valorisation and internationalization interventions by the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries. The three notices will be managed on the online platform https://export.regione.sicilia.it and applications can be sent from 3 May to 16 May 2024.
