Rome, 16 April 2024 – Important operation by the Guardia di Finanza in Fiumicino. The soldiers of the Naval Operational Section of Rome have in fact carried out an inspection within a private area, used for the illegal storage of a significant quantity of end-of-life vehicles constituting dangerous special waste. The same vehicles had been stored for some time without the precautions required by current legislation on the matter. The illegal warehouse was built on an area of approximately 4,000 m2. was seized and the owner reported to the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Civitavecchia.
It didn’t end here. The Fiamme Gialle Aeronavali of Civitavecchia, in collaboration with the Practical Sea Section, have identified, in the municipality of Fondi, an area of approximately 4500 m2 intended for the storage of pleasure boats totally devoid of any authorization with annex floating dock used for mooring also without state concession.
He was present in the same area also an illegal landfill of dangerous special waste including tyresspent oil and acid drums, hulls and carcasses of motor vehicles in a total state of abandonment with a high risk of polluting the aquifers.
