THEThe “Sicilia Classica Festival” presents Giuseppe Verdi’s enchanting production, with an international cast and extraordinary choreography.

Agrigento, 16 April 2025 – The Pirandello Theatre is preparing to shine again with the magic of opera, welcoming with joy and solemnity the enchanting production of “The Traviata” by Giuseppe Verdi, a signature event “Classical Sicily Festival” under the expert artistic direction of Nuccio Anselmo.

The exciting show will be held over the next few days 4 and 5 Maystarting at respectively 9pm and at 6.30pmgiving the public two unforgettable evenings immersed in the art and beauty of classical music.

On the prestigious stage, an international cast will shine that has enchanted audiences in the most renowned Italian theaters for several months. The protagonist, the soprano Desiree Rancatorewill bring the vibrant to life Violet Valerysupported by the talented Sicilian baritone Giovanni Palminteri in the role of George Germont and by the Neapolitan tenor Alessandro Scotto Di Luzio in the role of Alfredo. The maestro from Catania will direct Francesco Di Mauroamong the most celebrated “guest conductors” on the international classical scene.

The direction of Lorenzo Lenzi will bring the audience into one Paris of 1850 without filtersin which romance and cruelty, love and social squalor mix, giving a unique and engaging interpretation of the work.

A further note of excellence will be added by the extraordinary choreographies of the dance troupe, led by Stefania Cotroneowho will be able to further enrich the scenic narrative.

This project, originally conceived in Terrasini in 2016, continues to grow and bring with it a deep commitment to the diffusion of opera culture, valorising artists, in particular those made in Sicily and emerging young people.

Tickets to attend this extraordinary show are available at a cost of 35-40 euros depending on the place chosen, more 2 euro pre-sale fee.
