The father surprises his fifteen-year-old daughter in the bedroom with her boyfriend and after going into a rage, beats them both. The beatings were so violent that hospitalization was necessary.
It happened in Palermo, where the police and 118 health workers intervened and rescued the two young people and took them to hospital. Both were urgently transported to the Villa Sofia hospital, presenting injuries all over their bodies and being hospitalized under code red.
The man was reported for injuries and mistreatment in the family. The procedures foreseen for “code red” cases have been activated. The neighbors apparently raised the alarm after hearing the father’s screams. According to an initial reconstruction, the man would have surprised his daughter and her boyfriend in explicit attitudes in the bedroom. In anger, he acted violently, using a blunt object and also causing injuries to the young people’s heads.
The girl suffered a head injury, as evidenced by medical tests carried out in hospital, while the nature of a cut wound to her foot remains to be clarified.
The Carabinieri of the San Lorenzo company are conducting the investigations, acquiring the medical reports and listening to the testimonies of the girl and her boyfriend. It is not clear whether the young woman had secretly let her boyfriend in or whether her father was aware that the two would sleep in the same bed.
