Velletri will have its own night pharmacy. And it will be municipal. The proposal, which was in the electoral program of the coalition that then won the elections, and was then included in the programmatic lines presented at the beginning of the council meeting by the new Mayor Ascanio Cascella, is confirmed in the words of the Mayor of Veliterno.

“The proposed resolution, strongly supported by the Administration, will be included on the agenda of the next municipal council, which will provide for the signing of a new agreement with Velletri Servizi Spa, which will start the process for the activation of the night service with the presence of a pharmacist seven days a week, at one of the municipal pharmacies. Finally, citizens will no longer be forced to go out of town in case of need. The public tender procedure for the recruitment of the necessary pharmacists has already been activated”the Mayor revealed today.

Just on the eve of last Christmas we highlighted, in a itemwhat happened in December, acting as a megaphone to the requests of the many Veliterni forced to commute elsewhere, with the Pharmacy on Corso di Albano as the most popular one for night-time needs and the impossibility of having one available in the largest and most populous city of the Castelli Romani.

“We propose the reopening of the night pharmacy in the municipal area, thus eliminating a series of inconveniences that affect those who, without a prescription, suddenly need medicines at night”, it could already be read in point 12.1 of the Program Guidelines of the Cascella Council, which thus decided to move from words to deeds.

The Municipality of Velletri, we remember, has 4 municipal pharmacies managed by the municipal company Velletri Servizi. It will therefore be necessary to identify one of the pharmacies, carry out work to adapt it and organize the staff to guarantee night service.

The topic, we remember, was also a strong point of the city councilor Dario Di Luzio and of all the councilors of Fratelli d’Italia, of which he is the group leader, with full support of all the majority forces.

Just in the last few hours the Mayor had communicated with satisfaction the steps forward made for the return of the Birth Center to the Hospital: with resolution of the Extraordinary Commissioner of the ASL Rm6, Francesco Marchitelli, the project which includes extraordinary maintenance works of the departments of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Neonatology – Pediatrics at the Paolo Colombo Hospital. From what can be read from the document, the amount of work planned on the departments is approximately 118 thousand euros.
