Die Antwoord – a South African alternative hip hop band from Cape Town – made up of three members, Ninja, Yolandi Visser and DJ Hi-Tek will perform on the stage of the Ferrara Summer Festival with their first summer stop in Italy on Saturday 29 June. The group was formed in 2008 by the union of singers Ninja and Yolandi Visser and producer DJ Hi-Tek.
The name chosen for the group means ‘the answer’ and their music is known throughout the international scene, in fact in 2012 – the singer Lady Gaga – contacted the group to propose opening the Born This Way Ball concerts, but the group refused. They recorded videos with the most famous names: Cara Delevingne, Dita Von Teese, Marilyn Manson, Flea, Jack Black and ATL Twins.
Also known in the cinema world for the film Humandroid distributed by Sony Pictures. With their anything but predictable performance and a musical production as incessant as the rhythm that beats it from top to bottom, they will make the city vibrate.
We remind you of some dates on the calendar for the fifth edition of the Ferrara Summer Festival: Friday 21 June in Piazza Trento Trieste the “Deejay Time” format with the first date of the summer tour; on Saturday 22 June the French band AIR in Piazza Trento Trieste; 26 June 2024 the Italian singer-songwriter Annalisa will perform on stage in Piazza Trento Trieste; on Thursday 27 June in Piazza Trento Trieste the most loved format in Italy ‘I want to go back to the 90s’; Coez and Frah will perform on Tuesday 2 July 2024 – the duo returns to the stage together – who will begin their summer tour from Ferrara. On 30 June Tommaso Paradiso with the ‘Tommy Summer Tour’ in Piazza Trento Trieste; on 6 July 2024 – in Piazza Trento Trieste – ‘Tedua’; on 7 July 2024 ‘Calcutta’ in Piazza Ariostea, singer-songwriter originally from Latina; The Poohs in Piazza Ariostea on Monday 8 July; Among these also a single Italian date of the rock band ‘Extreme’ who will perform next July 4th on the stage of the Ferrara Summer Festival in Piazza Ariostea.
