Confindustria flies to San Damiano for the 79th assembly

Confindustria Piacenza flies to San Damiano for the 79th assembly of the association, scheduled for May 30th. The reason for this decision is explained by the outgoing president Francesco Rolleriabout to pass the witness to Nicola Parenti. “After 79 years the Assembly of Confindustria Piacenza leaves the city walls and goes to the provincial territory. The San Damiano airport detachment – underlines Rolleri – still remains an important operational activity, even after the farewell to the 50th Wing. In recent years, the Ministry of Defense has given a further opportunity to this place, also opening it up to new activities, such as the Flying Museum project presented last week“.

“For months now, this base has hosted companies that carry out development tests, taking advantage of the unique characteristics of the place which lend themselves well to field tests. Research and development will be the main topics of the next Confindustria assembly, which could not have been held in a better place than San Damiano Airport to talk about innovation and the future”.

An assembly that is part, Rolleri reiterates, “in our path of valorising the areas of the province within which initiatives with great impact at a local or, in this case, national or community level can arise and grow”.

The commander of the San Damiano airport detachment, lieutenant colonel Salvatore Occini, recalls how “in the event on 11 April we tried to involve not only the authorities but also the population to show the potential of this place, in addition to the Flying Museum project. We want to confirm this synergy – he states – with local players, which we aim to cultivate over time, and the Confindustria event is one of these. We hope that it can be just one of the first events that we will organize together and that the airport location can be a source of pride for you, also given the first time that your assembly takes place outside the city walls”.

Commander Occini and President Rolleri will speak at the meeting on 30 May. Among the guests of the round table moderated by Andrea Bignami, editor-in-chief of Sky Tg 24, are Alberto Baban, president of VeNetWork Spa – Former President of Piccola Industria Nazionale, Luciano Floridi, director of Yale Center for Digital Ethics, professor of Sociology of Culture and Communication at the University of Bologna, Emanuele Frontoni, full professor of Computer Science UNIMC; Co-director VRAI Lab; IIT affiliated researcher; NemoLab scientific director, Francesco Rolleri, president of Confindustria Piacenza, Donatella Sciuto rector of the Polytechnic of Milan. The conclusions will be entrusted to the newly elected President of Confindustria Piacenza Nicola Parenti.
