remodeled projects for trains and ships

The agreement was signed in Ancona for the remodulation of the program agreement between the Marche Region and various bodies for the realization of important projects: the northern seafront, the protective cliff of the Bologna-Lecce railway line, the burial with excavations of the seabed marine, the rectification and speeding up of the railway line. The changes were necessary to standardize requests and needs that arose after 2017.

“The signing of the agreement is part of the broader path of sustainability and environmental protection undertaken for some time now by RFI (Italian railway network, Editor’s note) with local institutions. The objective is to create a sustainable infrastructure, which integrates with the territory and positively impacts people’s lives. The intervention will guarantee an increase in the travel speed of trains on a stretch of the Adriatic route and will contribute to mitigating environmental risks”, declared the CEO and general director of RFI, Gianpiero Strisciuglio.

Along the same lines, the president of the Port System Authority of the Central Adriatic Sea, Vincenzo Garofalo: “We sign a strategic agreement for the development of the port, which we imagine to be very ambitious. A sustainable development of the port which involves maritime traffic, multifunctionality and the strengthening of intermodality. Thanks to this work, to which we contribute with seabed excavation interventions marine and the completion of the reclaimed basin, the traffic of the port will be able to bypass the streets of the city”.
