Other verdicts arrive on the penultimate day of Interregional Serie B. The Basket School Messina with a good victory at home against Corato takes the playoffs and has done so since before the PlayIn Silver group, the defeat of the next opponent Avellino gives first place to coach Sidoti’s group. Svincolati Milazzo still believes in that same group and wins and everything will be played out on the last day. Victory also for Barcelona who, however, have a position in the standings that does not seem to allow them to reach the third phase of the tournament.
Meanwhile, with a measured victory for Orlandina away, the paladins return to the top of the PlayIn Gold, access to the playoffs is not in doubt given that the top six out of the eight that make up the group go there, but the Nebroidi are currently first in sixteen points paired with Molfetta and Ragusa. Fortitudo Messina lost in the playout round, a victory for Castanea who, thanks to the points obtained, moved out of the hot zone and will not even have to play in the play-off.
On the next day Basket School Messina in Avellino, away also for the Svincolati Milazzo in Marigliano and Barcellona hosts Lucera at home. Orlandina and Fortitudo Messina close at home against Mola and Molfetta respectively, while Castanea travels away to Benevento.

Victory for Orlandina which regains the top of the group in cohabitation with two other teams. The paladins start by taking the lead after the first quarter 14-17 on the Angri pitch. Match dominated by coach Sidoti’s men. The Basket School Messina is a spectacle and the cheering audience of the PalaTracuzzi accompanies them on this ride. Immediately great pace against Corato in a first quarter of 33 points for the students, the guests from Puglia also keep up the momentum, closing on 21 but for them it is a long chase. The Basket School finds itself on the field with millimetric precision and with very high percentages it often extends by doubling the guests’ points, at the end of the second quarter the match now seems to be over with Messina ahead 61-31. In the next two remaining quarters the teams are equal, even if in the third Messina comes close to thirty points again, in the last quarter the two teams lower the pace and impact on 16-16 but the match was already decided with the schoolchildren in triple figures they close 106-73. Game with 23 points for Di Dio, 20 for Labovic, double figures also for Yeyap (17), Busco (14) and Tartamella (10).
Victory in overtime for the Svincolati Milazzo. The Mamertina team starts chasing at home against Lucera, who closes the first quarter ahead 17-23. In the second he tries to rebalance the match but falls behind at half time 41-44. The overtaking came in the third quarter, following the exact same partial suffered in the first half of the game by the Svincolati who entered the last 10 minutes with a 64-61 lead. In the final minutes Lucera doesn’t give up and with Cesana’s free throw, followed by Cesana’s mistake, he sends Milazzo to overtime rather than confirming the defeat. The extra time saw the two teams start with a score of 74 all, Salvatico’s triples opened the game, followed by Manfré’s free throws and another bomb from Battaglia to break the guests’ resistance.
Barcelona exaggerated, finishing thirty points ahead of Marigliano. Sprint start for coach Biondo’s boys who after the first quarter are ahead 26-12, the second partial is balanced and the gap between the two teams does not increase or decrease, a long interval that reaches 46-32. In the third and fourth quarters the Longanesi continue to score over twenty points per quarter, Marigliano disappears from the field until the final score is 93-63.

An important victory arrives for Castanea in the last home match of the second phase. At the end of a hard-fought match, the yellow-viola team beat Dinamo Brindisi from Puglia. The first two quarters are equally divided between the two teams with the score at halftime seeing the Peloritani behind 38-39. Coach Baldaro’s basketball players made the difference in the third quarter when, taking advantage of low percentages of the guests, they won the partial 14-8 and went on to lead 52-47 before the last segment of the game. In the final quarter of the game the two teams fought hard, scoring 26 equal points, this allowed the yellow and purple to maintain the necessary margin to win the match even if a few minutes from the end Castanea found themselves behind, Chakir, Bellomo and Incitti last points scored for the final overtaking. Good game from Incitti, 16 points, and Bellomo (15) among the locals, Brindisi side, and top scorer of the match, Staselis who ends his match with 23 points.
Fortitudo Messina was also defeated on the seventh day of the playout round, with Adria Bari violating the parquet of the Cittadella Sportiva dell’Annunziata 70-96 and gaining salvation in the Interregional Serie B. With the exception of the first lead of 5-0, the match was always in the hands of the Apulians, enhanced by the sensational three-point percentages (they finished with 14/26 and 54%), which was counterbalanced by the absolutely negative performance of the Neroverdi, especially on the mental level. Tagliano’s scoring performance was good, scoring 21 points, and Kader also scored double figures, but his game was conditioned by his premature exit due to fouls at the end of the third quarter.
