This was decided by the Prefecture of Rovigo after the meeting of the National Committee for public order and safety
In consideration of the continuing international crisis scenario and in accordance with the indications received from the Ministry of the Interior also following the meetings of the National Committee for public order and security, a general strengthening of the overall mechanism to protection of public order and safety in view of the upcoming Easter holidays, due to the foreseeable greater concentrations of people especially during the celebrations of Holy Week and the increased traffic on the main communication routes.
The intensification of the surveillance and control measures of the territory was decided as a result of the analysis conducted jointly by the provincial leaders of the Police Forces in the Prefecture, with the contribution also of the specialty components for the safety and supervision of road and railway traffic and navigation.
During the focus held in the Prefecture, the sensitive objectives and the main initiatives planned in the next few days in the Province were examined, which were the subject of a specific awareness-raising device which includes, among other things, the use of personnel in civilian clothes ; particular attention will be paid to checks along road and motorway arteries, at railway stations and at the main transport hubs.
