Paolo Bonolis, always without filters, lets himself go into a confession that could concern the alleged farewell to Mediaset: here’s what he said.
Paolo Bonolis was interviewed by the popular podcast BSMT and obviously opened up about his professional past and imminent future. It certainly cannot be denied how much the Roman presenter is an icon of the small screen. From programs like Hi Darwin, The meaning of life and two unforgettable editions of Sanremo Festival, established himself from the very first moments as a professional of incredible talent and skill. A hilarious comedy, sometimes even defined as too cynical at times, but it has never adapted to the judgments of those who would like it to be ‘cleaner’, on the contrary.
Bonolis’ strength is also that of never giving in, of having gone against the company he worked for on several occasions, including this one with the last interview we want to talk to you about. For years the popular presenter has condemned some choices made by Italian television in general, from Rai to Mediaset. Even though it is currently part of the Biscione and according to Berlusconi’s last words, there is always room for him and the possibility of being able to do anything, something else emerges from his words. Obviously, among the most discussed questions during the interview, there was the one about today’s television and how it differs from that of a few years ago. Bonolis, due to his incredible work on the small screen, boasts his presence on TV in two completely different sections. He defines that of the past as pioneering, who was looking for something to tell the public, always new stories and people and ideas of a certain type to fill the schedules. It certainly differs considerably from what we see today, which doesn’t seem to convince him that much.
Bonolis’ farewell to Mediaset almost seemed like a reality a few months ago and he had anticipated the reason, but this time it is clear as day. The lack of time and resources to evaluate new formats and therefore continue in the wake of the always original proposals also weighs on the bets to be offered to viewers. Today’s TV is therefore colonial for him. He considers the presence of programs and continuous dynamics boring for what he has always done as a host. Hence probably the need for a change of scenery as he had announced some time ago. According to him, Mediaset does not currently have the possibility of conducting things other than Next Another. A dig that didn’t go unnoticed, but which he certainly wasn’t afraid to show off in all his frankness. After all, it wasn’t the first time. Now, however, it seems to be the dominant reason for the friction relating to his uncertain future at Mediaset.
