Last night, in a special episode on Nove, the program presented its new competitors, 8 farmers and a peasant woman. The program will begin next autumn, again hosted for the fourth consecutive year by Gabriele Corsi. But it already is the “hunt” for his wife began.
Roberto the mountain man
Among the competitors there is also Roberto, a 24-year-old Venetian by birth, but who moved with his mother and twin brother to Preone, 250 inhabitants in the heart of Carnia, where he manages his own family business which now counts, as the competitor himself clarifies in the video presentation, of 80 goats, 15 cows, 10 pigs and 10 donkeys.

Of an introverted nature, «Everyone tells me that I listen a lot and speak little», Roberto is moved when he talks about the lack of a father figure, given that his father divorced his mother when he and his twin were just 1 year old. Then the move to Carnia, where his mother is originally from, following the dream that he had since he was a child, that is, to become a mountain farmer. «I’m a solid mountain man and I imagine it’s not easy to be with a real mountain man».
