Amadeus’ last day on Rai immortalized on the pages of Chi: a kiss to his Giovanna Civitillo and many friends, but no managers.
The last day of Amadeus on Rai, as is known, was Friday 10 May, when the last block of episodes of Affari Tuoi recorded. The weekly magazine Chi, on newsstands from 15 May, immortalized the final moments, the last moments, the visibly emotional entrance of Amadeus to the Teatro delle Vittorie. Also in favor of the cameras was a round kiss with his wife Giovanna Civitillo. There were many friends to greet him, writes Chi, but “zero big shots”.
The ‘frost’ at farewell
Amadeus had been Fiorello’s guest that same morning to close another great chapter in the history of Rai, the last episode of Viva Rai2!. The paths of Amadeus and Fiorello, apparently, should split. The host goes to Nove while Fiorello goes… to the sofa. He’ll stay put for a while, as he put it, “until the next idea comes up.” The weekly magazine directed by Alfonso Signorini speaks of a “colder” farewell for the host of Affari Tuoi:
Fiorello certainly said goodbye in style, with Rai wrapped around his glass, as if to say “don’t leave”, while the greeting to Amadeus was colder. At the Teatro delle Vittorie, for the last of Affari Tuoi, there were no managers, except Raffaella Sallustio, deputy director of Rai’s prime time access entertainment, who is also responsible for the program. In the studio, perhaps, everyone was waiting for a caress from ‘Mamma Rai’ at the end of an edition full of successes.
Will Giovanna Civitillo follow him to Nove?
The Chi report also talks about Giovanna Civitillo, who has a regular place in Antonella Clerici’s daily program, “It’s always midday”. Amadeus’ wife awaits confirmation from next year, what appears certain is that there would be no program for her within the Warner Bros. Discovery group and therefore she should remain in Rai, but those of Nove have never said the last word.
