Last April a man, Revenue Agency officialwas arrested For corruption. During an interception, investigators gleaned a series of statements in which the man said he had taken money to settle the singer’s case Gigi D’Alessioon which the tax authorities have now ordered checks.
Revenue Agency official arrested for corruption
Last April 17, Riccardo Cameo, an official of the Revenue Agency, he was arrested, accused of corruptionat the request of the prosecutor Claudio Villani, and is now under house arrest together with two other managers of the Agency, Marco Crescenzi and Consuelo Giacchetti.
The investigation, in which around 30 people were under investigation, had highlighted a now established system, in which Cameo accessed the IT systems of the Revenue Agency illegallyrecovered the file of interest to him and then indicated to the “clients” how to reduce the sums of money requested by the tax authorities.

According to investigations the “basic fee for a check” was around 100 euros, but there are several cases in which we have gone much further. Among these clients there would also have been Princess Ottavia Meoli Caracciolo of S. Vito d’Aquara and Giorgio Perinetti, former sporting director of Rome and Naples. But from today there is a new name in the crosshairs of the investigators.
The name of Gigi D’Alessio
As reported by Corriere della Sera, in December 2022 the Flying Squad carried out an environmental interception while Riccardo Cameo was with a tax expert, Maria Grazia Durantini, and her niece, Sonia Donzetti.
During the conversation between the three, Cameo spontaneously let out “a confessions regarding important episodes of corruption which saw him as the protagonist a few years earlier”, including one which concerned a singer whose name the man could not remember at the time.
“Gigi D’Alessio” says Donzetti then, and Cameo confirms: “Yes, Gigi D’Alessio. I heard the sirens, I say ‘this time they’ll catch me’. […] Then I didn’t do anything special, I just rearranged that file. I had taken 20 thousand euros, understand? But I had readjusted the statement but it’s not that I hadn’t made him pay.”
Tax audits
An interception that did not go unnoticed by the agents, who transcribed the following in the report: “It is noted that Gigi D’Alessio was involved in some investigations in the years 2016-2017 of the Prosecutor’s Office in relation to the commission of accounting crimes connected to the company Ggd srl of which the singer was the sole shareholder”.
“The proceedings appear to have been at least partially archived – the report continues – It cannot be ruled out that the conduct reported by Cameo occurred precisely in the aforementioned time period. This is why it is believed that the matter deserves further investigation”
Gigi D’Alessio’s reply
The news arrived shortly after the release the reply of the Neapolitan singer: “The statements of a gentleman I don’t know and with whom I have never had any relationship, reported in the article published today in the Roman edition of Corriere della Sera entitled: ‘The D’Alessio practice? 20 thousand euros taken, are absolutely false and the result of the imagination of this person”.
“The alleged facts he reports about me they never happened and they don’t belong to my lifestyle – concludes Gigi D’Alessio in his note – I have already instructed my lawyers to immediately file a complaint with the judicial authorities”.
