Pupo, Zanicchi, Ben Ammar: the “people” of the premier

«The Constitution of all», reads the title of the conference organized in Montecitorio by the Alcide De Gasperi Foundation in collaboration with the Bettino Craxi Foundation. «Dialogue on the premiership», the subtitle. Excellent intentions, it’s a shame that the constitutional reform will be approved by majority. But let it not be said that Prime Minister Meloni does not want to dialogue. So much so that the appointment in the Chamber, Palazzo Chigi anticipated on Tuesday, “will be a moment of discussion with the citizens”.

And so the audience of the Queen’s Hall (the streets of the premiership are endless…) is filled with “citizens”. But I was a little taken aback. Here, for example, is citizen Iva Zanicchi: «I wonder why they invited me, but I’m here to understand. And if Meloni is there, we all run.” Citizen Amedeo Minghi is no exception: “I too was surprised by the invitation.” Instead, Pupo seems to have expected nothing else: “I want a strong prime minister, very strong.” Putinian suggestions? “I’m not talking about Putin because I don’t know him but I’m convinced that we need to have relations with Russia”, Enzo Ghinazzi expands – “chocolate ice cream” into geopolitical considerations. Massimo Giletti is there, and the Tunisian producer Tarak Ben Ammar, a historic friend of Bettino Craxi (the foundation of the same name is involved), also shows up again, having a long chat with Impregilo CEO Pietro Salini.

Also arriving are Michele Placido and the actress Claudia Gerini, initially absent (after having participated in the Fdi convention in Pescara, that of «simply Giorgia…”), however also ready to declare that «the premiership must interest us because the constitution belongs to everyone” and “I find the points highlighted by President Meloni interesting”.

The minister of sport Andrea Abodi does his part and in the audience are the swimmer Filippo Magnini and the fencing champion Elisa Di Francisca, very selfatiful, and the president of the Italian Paralympic Committee Luca Pancalli. And then obviously ministers, parliamentarians, exes. Giorgia’s people, Giorgia’s aspiring people, the people that Giorgia hopes to convince. Maybe not all “people”, but all in the presence of the prime minister. Sorry, the queen.
