“The May of Monuments is a fixed and eagerly awaited event in the cultural programming of the Municipality of Naples, which has now become national in scope. In the wake of previous years, this year too we wanted to take the opportunity to tell Naples through its centuries-old heritage, thus enriching the offer in a period of full attendance. The objective is that citizens and tourists fully appropriate the places and monuments: the ultimate aim is to help make them known and valorise them” declares the Mayor of Naples.
The May of Monuments calendar is structured in such a way as to involve audiences of different ages and interests, and the initiatives that compose it aim at valorising the historical-artistic, landscape and monumental heritage.
“Transversality of the proposals, different audiences, involvement of citizens and activation of new collaborations. The May of Monuments is an important occasion for the city, which with its composite nature testifies to the municipal administration’s commitment to the valorisation and promotion of culture. Culture that has found its home at Palazzo Cavalcanti, home to some of the events on the calendar as well as a production hub throughout the year” states the Coordinator of cultural policies of the Municipality of Naples.
