Tragedy in Brazil. The green and gold press is dealing with a case that has shocked the country. A 16-year-old shot his mother, father and younger sister inside his home to vent his anger at having been deprived of his cell phone and computer. Then, regardless, he entered the kitchen, had lunch and left as if nothing had happened to go to the gym. The protagonist of the bad news story, which occurred in Vila Jaguara, a neighborhood in the Brazilian megalopolis of Sao Paulo, is an adopted boy who complained to the police that he had always had bad relationships with the family who had welcomed him. «I would do it all again», he told the officers, who he himself called to turn himself in two days after committing the crime.
The last stab
His anger was so great that the day after the murders he even stabbed the body of his mother, Solange Aparecida Gomes, aged 50. To kill the three she instead used her father’s gun, a municipal guard. It all started from a heated argument he had had the day before with his father, who as punishment took away his PC and mobile phone. According to the teenager, arguments were frequent within the home.
The situation worsened when he was unable to submit school work because he had no cell phone and was called a “slacker”. The young man then waited for his father to arrive from school together with his younger sister and killed him, Isac Tavares Santos, aged 57, first, hitting him from behind. Then he went upstairs to the house and shot his 15-year-old sister, Letícia Gomes Santos, in the face. In the evening, after waiting for her mother to return from work, she opened the gate to let her in with her car and, once she got out, executed her.
A plan conceived for some time
The killer also revealed that he had already thought about murdering his parents on another occasion, but had not carried out the plan. The bloody incident shocked residents of the area, who describe the family, who moved there less than two years ago, as “very reserved”. «They limited themselves to good morning and good evening, they didn’t give much confidence. However, the arguments among them were constant, practically daily”, a neighbour, Célia Regina Petrícia, told the press. Investigators are trying to clarify more details of the case and will hear more witnesses in the coming days.
