The second gym for the “Carella” school, in place of the recently planted trees, does not need to be built. Part of the majority plays a trick on the Tarasconi Administration by voting against the change of intended use (from an equipped green area to an area for school equipment) in via Buozzi-via Lanfranco, Galleana district. So the center-left goes down in the city council, for the first time facing a council resolution. Four councilors (Sergio Ferri and Costanza De Poli of the Democratic Party, Matteo Anelli of Pc Coraggiosa and Claudia Gnocchi of Civica Tarasconi) reject the practice together with the center-right and Alternativa per Piacenza. Stefano Perrucci (Pd) abstains. So the urban planning councilor Adriana Fantini was unable to do anything but receive the rejection by 15 votes to 14.
In that 1400 m2 area, new trees had been planted by the previous Barbieri council at the end of the mandate. Then it was decided to design a second gym, in the same area, but in a different space. At the moment there was only 115 thousand euros available to develop the project, financed by the Ministry. But the “environmentalist branch” in the City Council pointed out the subtraction of greenery in the residential neighborhood, precisely where the new plantings had been established and once again underlined their stomach aches in the face of the City Council’s urban planning choices, as already happened for the redevelopment of the former Camuzzi. So the Municipality must allocate 115 thousand euros from its own pocket to finance the project. The organization will now have to pay the amount out of its own pocket. Mayor Katia Tarasconi didn’t take it well and, off the microphone, pointed the finger at the dissidents: “Now you find 115 thousand euros in the budget.”
