The Monza square transformed into a large open-air gym

A large colorful carpet on which to jump, run, play and exercise. This morning, Friday 10 May, Piazza Trento e Trieste presented itself in an unusual guise. Animated by the joy of 500 students who “occupied” it for the Sport per te project. A morning of sport and fun which includes the participation of 24 classes (first and third) from the state primary schools of Monza for a total of 500 children and 72 teachers in total.

Throughout the morning, students and teachers tried their hand at a real “sport” circuit: gymnastics, inline skating, judo, tennis/padel, football, basketball, yoga and psychomotor skills, volleyball and dance.

Many Monza sports clubs are involved in the annual project and in this final event with the children: Nuova artistic Monza, Aso S. Rocco, Gerardiana, Sanfru Basket, Scuola di Judo Monza, Ronin, la Dominante, AstroRoller Skating, Pro Victoria/VeroVolley, Freemoving, Donne Lunatiche, Palextra, GSC4 Les Petites Etoiles and Ass. Silvia Tremolada for inclusive sport.

Also in the square were BrianzAcque with the free distribution of water, and Sodexo with the offer of a healthy snack (a fruit). The event will be directed by MWRadio and the Educational Innovation Service of the Education Sector, owner of the project and coordinator of all the subjects involved in the event.

“The event – explain the councilor for Sport Viviana Guidetti and the mayor Paolo Pilotto – will be the culmination of opportunities for aggregation, exercise and sporting activities provided by the Sport x te project to the young students of Monza schools. In particular, the commitment continues to involve an ever-increasing number of children with disabilities, also the result of the ‘Sport for you, Sport for all’ training course aimed at teachers of institutes which saw the participation, in this edition, of over 40 teachers”.
