The 2026 Road Cycling World Championships will be held in Montreal (Canada) from 20 to 27 September. The world championship returns to North America in the year in which the fiftieth anniversary of the 1976 Olympics is celebrated. A week of last-gasp competitions will decide the winners of the rainbow jerseys among the elite, under 23s and juniors.
They will open the danceSunday 20 September, the time trials of the elite men’s and women’s categories. On Monday 21st the Under 23 athletes will take to the track for the two time trials, while the following day the two Junior time trials and the mixed relay will take place.
Thursday 24 September we will turn the page and the program will come to life: Online tests will begin with the Under 23 women’s and the men’s Junior races. Friday 25th the calendar features the women’s Junior and men’s Under 23 races. Saturday 26th will be the turn of the road race for the women’s elite and the closing of the world championship will be reserved for the men’s elite race scheduled for Sunday 27th September. The times at which the various competitions will be played will be announced in the coming weeks.
