“The 2024 forecasts from the representative sample of companies for the wood-furniture supply chain they speak of a total +4.5%, separated into +8.5% of exports and +1.7% of the domestic market“. This was announced a week before the inauguration of the Salone del Mobile in Milan by the president of Federlegno, Claudio Feltrin. “Now the Salone del Mobile. Milan is upon us and we know that this event will give lifeblood to the sector, especially in terms of exports – he said – Because buyers, architects and designers from all over the world come to Rho. And it is precisely to the second half of the year that we must look to return to thinking positively and to assume that the curve, although physiological, has stopped. We want to think so because optimism is a bit of the ‘madness’ that distinguishes us entrepreneurs, but also because the data from our Monitor tells us so.”

Specifically in the furniture macrosystem the estimate speaks of a total +6.4%, equal to a +10% of exports and +2.9% of the Italian market. For wood the forecast is more limited: +1.5% total, +4.9% export and +0.2% domestic market. “The hope is that these estimates can be confirmed, aware that it is now truly complex, if not impossible, to make long-term forecasts, given the unstable international panorama – he concluded – Even more reason to continue to focus on excellence of our products which can count on a short national supply chain of absolute value and versatility”.
