If you are already starting to reflect on yours good resolutions for 2026look no further: inspiration comes from Meghan Markle.
Before marrying Prince Harry and thus becoming part of the royal family, the actress had revealed on her lifestyle blog, The Tigto have the same two objectives every year. It was reported by Telegraphrevealing a new and decidedly “human” side of the Duchess.
The two good resolutions that Meghan Markle set herself every year
According to reports from TelegraphMeghan had a list of rather precise annual anniversaries: stop swearing e stop biting your nails. “These items are on my list almost every year (or rather, let’s say every year),” Meghan wrote on January 1, 2016 on her now-defunct personal blog, shortly before her relationship with Harry began.
“Swearing happens to me almost unconsciously, perhaps due to too much work or because I feel a little cheeky after a couple of drinks. As for nail biting, well, it still happens on a turbulent flight or a stressful day. It’s not exactly feminine. And to be honest, swearing isn’t either. Damn”.
Meghan Markle’s other (old) goals
In the same post, Meghan said she had left other annual resolutions on the back burner, such as running a marathon or starting to study French again. “For this new year, the only thing I want to do is approach life in a playful way”, he wrote.
“I want to laugh and have fun, keep my standards high, but my level of even higher self-acceptance. My purpose is to leave room for magic. Make plans, but be calm if things go differently. Set my goals, but stay open to change. I want magic to know that there is an ‘open door’ policy in 2016 and that it is always welcome to the party. I invite you to do the same. I wish you a wonderful, blessed and incredibly magical 2016. I am so grateful to have you with me on this journey.”
Today she is a member of the British royal family – although she no longer officially represents the Crown since she moved in California – and is a mother of two, Meghan likely has new and different goals. Maybe she’s finally managed to stop biting her nails, but in any case, her words from back then remain beautiful inspiration for the year to come.
