However, he had the ring during a trip to Portofino.
“Yes. We were at the lighthouse and, in reality, I had no intention of asking for her hand, but only to give a ring that I had bought on Amazon. But when she saw the box, Raisa ran away. I said to myself: “Hey, think about it carefully next time”.

And so it was?
“Yes. I wanted to find the right place and be close to the people we love, so I organized a trip to Dubai with our two families, to whom I announced my intentions. They were all very excited. In the desert I waited for the other jeeps to leave and, on a sand dune, he finally said yes.”

What will your wedding be like?
Raissa: «We have planned everything down to the smallest detail, and we are hoping for sunshine. We have chosen a civil ceremony, which will make everyone agree. It will be a real mix of our cultures. Everything, from the music to the catering, from the set-up to the entertainment, will be both Italian and Moroccan. We also found an Italian-Moroccan DJ. The wedding will last from 11 in the morning until the evening, almost 12 very intense hours, in which there will be little time to distract yourself.”

Momo, how did you know right away that Raissa was “the right one”?
«I will always remember the moment I saw her coming down the gym stairs (where they met, ed): I immediately felt there was something special about her. And it was like this: Raissa is cheerful and she brings out the best in people. And me too. I always say that when I saw it it was like when Lord Voldemort left his scar on Harry Potter (laugh).”

And you, Raissa?
«For me it wasn’t that immediate at all. I had a lot of prejudices: Momo, beyond cultural issues, is a completely different person from me. But there was a good dialogue between us: since we started doing it, we haven’t stopped exchanging messages. Furthermore, I had never found a man with whom I could talk about spirituality. When, in a moment of religious crisis, I asked him: “What is God for you?”, he replied with a photo of a sunset over the sea in Morocco, and the phrase: “When I sit here, I can’t think that God does not exist.” Maybe this is exactly how he won me over forever.”
