Queen Maxima of the Netherlands enchanted everyone with her red ensemble during a visit to Atlanta, Georgia. The sovereign, accompanied by her husband, King Willem-Alexander, is in the United States for a four-day business trip.
On the first day of their visit, the royal couple was welcomed into the State Capitol by Governor Brian Kemp, with whom they discussed economic cooperation between the Netherlands and Georgia. Afterward, they paid homage to Martin Luther King by placing a wreath at his grave at the Martin Luther King Center.
An unmistakable look in red
There Queen Maxima and the King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands are in the United States on a working visit aimed at strengthening economic and cultural ties between the Netherlands and the states of Georgia and New York. During their trip, which includes stops in Atlanta, Savannah, Albany and New York City, the focus is on issues such as economic cooperation, global health, social justice and sustainable urban development.
On the occasion of the important royal event, Queen Maxima (who is no stranger to almost flawless looks) carefully chose her clothing to appear elegant and imposing. The undisputed protagonist of her look was a majestic red cape dress created by the renowned fashion house Natan Couture.
This garment, called “Edwige”, captured the attention and aroused the admiration of all onlookers for its refined and exemplary elegance, as well as for the lively and captivating shade of red, perfectly in harmony with the other accessories worn by the Queen .
Specifically, Her Majesty wore a tight-fitting dress that gracefully hugged her shape up to the knee, enriched by a sumptuous cape with fluid and sinuous lines. On her feet she wore a pair of refined suede heels, strictly in the same shade as the dress.
To complete her elegant and sophisticated look, Maxima wore gloves, a refined clutch and a beautifully designed hat. Between jewels which embellished her splendid outfit, a flower-shaped brooch stood out, created at the end of the 19th century by the famous jeweler Eduard Schürmann & Co of Frankfurt, commissioned by Queen Emma.
This elegant brooch, embellished with diamonds, opal and rubies, gave the look a touch of regal majesty and pageantry. The combination of these elements contributed to making the appearance of Queen Maxima a moment of rare beauty and elegance, worthy of her high position and the solemnity of the event.
A change of clothes for the evening
For the evening event organized at the museum, Queen Maxima wanted to change her clothes, opting for a long-sleeved silk blouse with a simple cut and a champagne-colored skirt, which gave the outfit a touch of refinement and femininity.
To complete her look, the Queen chose a pair of delightful high-heeled shoes and a matching clutch, which added glamor and style to her image. After wrapping up the day’s business, the Dutch royal couple then had the opportunity to meet and discuss with some major American companies that have business operations in the Netherlands, as well as various key local partners.
