Former actress, dancer and television showgirl, the Spanish Natalia Estrada has found her oasis of peace in Piedmontwhere he lives on a ranch, among horses and nature. At his side is his partner Drew Mischianti: the two, united by a great love for horse riding, founded an equestrian center and are inseparable for 17 years now (they met in Rome during an equestrian event). Interviewed by the weekly PeopleNatalia Estrada, who became known to the general public with the release of movie The cyclone by Leonardo Pieraccioni (1996), he said he had no second thoughts about his career in the world of entertainment.

«I’m always in boots and a western shirt, today I walk wobbly in heels»commented Natalia Estrada during the interview. On his ranch the day starts very early, with a wake-up call at 5.30 am, and then collapsed into bed at 9pm. “But I’m happy,” says the former showgirl. «My daily life is the result of a targeted choice. Every day I am in the dimension and with the people I want to have next to me, and I am happy, without distractions. TV has given me so muchI have always loved dancing, leading, I have wonderful memories, but the lifestyle that gravitates around each show, at a certain point, was too much for me».

In love with horses since 2001 thanks to the friend’s advice Claudio Lippi to experience the ride, Natalia Estrada would never go back. «With him I wanted to experience the thrill of being in the saddle. There it is as if something magnetic had been established between me and the animal. Love at first sight. This is how my ever-growing “equine family” began! Six months later I had an accident that brought me to the big crossroads in life». After a serious injury falling on a horse, Natalia Estrada asked herself. «Do I continue with the horses and leave the rest or continue my career on TV?». Her heart told her to stay with her beloved horses, and so it was.

About her life partner Drew Mischianti she says she spends 24 hours a day by his side without arguing and not to feel the need to formalize the union with marriage. As for her ex-husband Giorgio Mastrotawith whom in 1995 she had a daughter, also called Natalia and now twice a mother, Natalia Estrada says she remains on good terms. As well as she stayed in touch with ex-boyfriend Paolo Berlusconi. «It happens that we hear each other. And always to wish us well. There is nothing more beautiful when you have shared important passages with someone who have a cordial and respectful relationship for what we experienced together.”

Finally Natalia Estrada talks about the twice in which Amadeus tried to bring her to the Sanremo stage. But she politely refused. «I confess I was tempted, I would have agreed to do the Festival if there hadn’t been all that collateral blending that leads you to be overexposed and busy on a thousand fronts, such as dresses, heels…”. Once again, the call of life in nature, with beloved horseshe prevailed.
