Federica Pellegrini she returned to very true together with her husband Matteo Giunta to talk about her new life as a mother. The little girl was born on January 3rd Matilda: “The birth? It was an emergency caesarean section because the baby had an irregular heartbeat. I didn’t stay calm, I suffered a lot. I couldn’t stand up due to the pain even though I had an epidural. Then she was born and he was 7lb 9”. Giunta defined them “strong emotions, ranging from worry to the desire to see this little one come to light, but I still managed to stay calm, sport helps you in moments of maximum tension.”

Federica Pellegrini recounted the emotion she felt when she held her baby girl for the first time after the caesarean section and how she experienced the first days as a mother: “When I picked her up for the first time it was emotional, I cried and that first cry was a liberation. The first week was heavy after such a caesarean section. Those moments were very difficult but then you understand that it was everything is beautiful.” And then he added: “I went back to swimming because I needed to feel my body again and I had lost with pregnancy, it’s not about losing weight, I needed to feel my body moving again and it was nice. The adrenaline of racing? I will always miss him and it’s an emotion I will never encounter again.”
