Galeotto was the set of “Mare Fuori” for Giovanna Sannino and Gaetano Migliaccio. Guest on “Verissimo”, the actress talks about how the love story born between one take and another helped her overcome a period of crisis. «Gaetano has an ancient soul, from other times, he seems to have come out of a 19th century film», explains Sannino who plays Carmela in the series. «She met me in a not happy period after I had come out of a relationship that had chilled me. I felt that I wasn’t ready for a new love also because I was convinced that I didn’t know how to look for it”, she says.

Love and courtship

In the living room of the Canale 5 talk show Giovanna Sannino talks about how the “old-fashioned” courtship conducted by Salvo of “Mare Fuori” managed to overcome her initial resistance. “I had said enough to love but he courted me with delicacy and patience for 5 months and melted my heart”, explains the Neapolitan actress. And she adds: “he taught me that it is not necessary to have a love next to you but when it is the right one it lifts you up”.

The father’s arrest

The actress then recounted an episode that marked her adolescence, the arrest of her father. The man, former mayor of Casavatore, a municipality in the province of Naples, was accused of corruption. In the study of the Canale5 broadcast, the young girl retraced what happened at the time. «One morning the Carabinieri knocked on my house and took my father away. I was understanding that something bad was happening, but I couldn’t explain why. My father spent a month and a half under house arrest and ten days in prison. The charge was corruption. In the end he negotiated a deal,” she said. The accusation was corruption for a trip that we had taken, but which was never booked in the agency that had been named by the prosecution”, the woman further revealed, and then went into the details of that painful episode, « But if this situation is so confusing, some very clear things immediately became clear to me from the maps. That is, my father was part of the administration of this town on the outskirts of Naples and the municipality had not spent any money and my father had never entered the agency and at the time of his arrest my father had no longer been mayor for months now. He is arrested for fear of repeating the crime. But what crime did he have to repeat? The man then decided to plea bargain: «When my father returned home after the plea bargain he decided to talk to me about it. He settled because it was the quickest way out of this nightmare. Now he’s fine. We took it as an experience that made us grow.”
