The GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello takes inspiration from the latest arrival at Maserati, the GranCabrio Folgore, which is the first 100% electric cabrio in the luxury segment and the fastest on the market. But compared to the basic model, the one designed by the Trident to celebrate the history of Tignanello is special. Drawing inspiration from the vineyard, a metaphor for roots and territory that in both brands bring great added value to the final product, Maserati has developed a dream car.

To create the car that could be the perfect synthesis of the characteristics and values ​​of Marchesi Antinori and Tignanello, the Modena company followed the uniqueness that surrounds the history of wine, paying homage to the family of Florentine winemakers through colours, shades and innovative materials and refined artisan details.

In fact, the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello is a road-going eulogy to the precious Tignanello vineyard and the 50 years of this wine, with a high level of customization of the model that will be auctioned on July 14th in California at the Napa Valley Festival: one of the most important arts and education charity events in America.

Colors and materials, exaltation of the wine

Looking at the exterior of the GranCabrio Folgore Tignanello, the first thing that catches the eye is the body color, created ad hoc with painstaking research into the right shade to perfectly pay homage to the history of Marchesi Antinori. The paint, in fact, was created specifically and is “Land of Tignanello“, a chestnut color inspired by the soil of the vineyard, warmed by a coppery burgundy that recalls the central red shades of the characteristic Tignanello barriques. A rich, metallic shade, in fact a precious color inspired by the estate and the atmosphere of the cellar which ties in well with the GranCabrio Folgore.

The rims and calipers are in matte black and glossy black finishing, while the emblems are in copper. The Maserati Fuoriserie logo is in glossy copper on a glossy shade. The fabric top is black.

The interiorinstead, they give away details romantic with the exaltation of the distinctive features of Tignanello celebrating the history of both brands. Combining tradition, innovation and craftsmanship, the seats are characterized by leather embellished with multi-material cannelloni in silver and burgundy, made of Vegea, a technical spreadable fabric derived from vineyards that recalls the geometry of the rows of vines on the Tignanello hill. The fabric, however, has a look and feel completely similar to leather and was used for the first time on a Maserati vehicle.

There is a on the headrest elegant embroidery that unites the Trident of Maserati with one of the distinctive features of Tignanello, the sun, which has always stood out on the bottle label. The same symbol is also found on the central tunnel, together with the dates 1971-2021 which refer to the first and current vintage of Tignanello.
