The Carrefour supermarket line recently displayed the warning issued by the manufacturer Cerastoderma sppmarketed under the brand Nieddittas owned by CPA Cooperative Societyregistered in the Register of Social Cooperatives and in the Business Register, with headquarters in Arborea in the locality of Corru Mannu in the province of Oristano.

The recall affects several batches of clams, commonly sold packaged in classic plastic nets. The lots affected are: 241078-30 with packaging date 05/30/2024, 241078-31 with packaging date 05/31/2024, 241078-02 with packaging date 02/06/2024, 241099-02 with packaging date 02/06/2024, 241099-03 with packaging date 03/06/2024, 241114-03 with packaging date 03/06/2024, 241114-04 with packaging date 04/06/2024 e 241132-04 with packaging date 04/06/2024.

The reason behind the recall of Nieddittas clams from the market

The recall in this case came directly from the manufacturer, who did not use the standard form so not much is known about the reasons for the recall. On the model it is simply indicated thatthe product is not suitable for consumption. The indication for all those who have purchased any of the recalled lots is that of bring the clams back to the supermarket where they were purchased to return them and obtain a refund.
