The debut of the new one is approaching Lancia Ypsilon HF. The most high-performance version of the latest creation from the Turin brand will be introduced over the course of next year: not a random choice, given that in 2025 Lancia will officially return to the Rally with the Ypsilon Rally 4 HF. A double appointment with performance therefore, for a link with motorsport which is particularly close to Lancia’s heart and which is central to the Renaissance process started by the brand.
Miki Biasion at the helm
Returning to the road Ypsilon HF, Lancia has announced that it will avail itself of the support of Miki Biasion to develop the car, the same goes for the rally car. In this regard Luca Napolitano, the CEO of Lancia, declared: “The natural ‘spokesperson’ for this double return could only be the most successful Italian Rally driver of all time, who contributed to making Lancia the most successful brand in the history of this sport. His experience at the service of the Lancia Corse team for many years will be fundamental to develop both cars.”
The new Lancia Ypsilon HF
We remind you that both cars were unveiled in preview at the end of May: for example, we know about the Ypsilon HF that it will be powered by a 100% electric 240 HP engine. “Lancia today takes another step forward on its Renaissance journey. At the end of May we presented a preview of two important innovations, which they will be officially introduced in 2025: the New Lancia Ypsilon HF, the high-performance version of the first car of the brand’s new era, and the Lancia Ypsilon Rally 4 HF, the model that will mark Lancia’s official return to the world of Rallying, in line with its legendary history sporty”added Napolitano.
From the road to the rally
Even the person directly involved, Miki Biasion, wanted to comment on his new adventure: “I’m very pleased to be able to support the Lancia Product Team for the adjustment of the set-up and handling of the Ypsilon HF, offering true sporting driving pleasure to those who will drive it and to work with the Stellantis Motorsport Team to refine the performance of the Ypsilon Rally 4 HF: trim, braking and engine calibration.
