The range of the Audi Q6 e-tron is renewed with the debut of a new variant: the full electric sports SUV from the German company, in fact, will soon also be available in the new version called Audi Q6 e-tron Performance. This is a new version a rear-wheel Drivecapable of combining high performance and excellent autonomy.
With this new model, arriving in Italian dealerships in the second half of the year, Audi aims to strengthen its electric range with a piece of great value. The German company, in fact, now offers a new version entry level (and therefore at a lower price) of its zero-emission D-segment SUV which could record significant growth in sales volumes, also thanks to a lower price list.
Electric rear-wheel drive
Audi has anticipated the arrival on the Italian market of a new variant of its Q6 e-tron which, inevitably, is destined to carve out an important space within the German manufacturer’s zero-emission range. The New Audi Q6 e-tron Performance is the new entry-level version of the first SUV developed from native electric PPE platformalso used by New electric Porsche Macan. This version is the first with rear-wheel drive and will join the two quattro electric all-wheel drive variants (one with 387 HP and one with 5127 HP).
THE new Audi Q6 e-tron Performance is equipped with a single PSM electric motor (permanent magnet synchronous motor) which is combined with the rear axle. This engine is able to guarantee a maximum power of 326 HPallowing the SUV from the German company to obtain good performance as well as excellent autonomy, thanks also to the battery 100 kWh integrated under the body. According to the data provided by Audi, in fact, this variant of the SUV is capable of recording one 0-100km/h in 6.6 seconds.
As regards autonomy, however, the model is credited well 641 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. This is, as also underlined by Audi itself, one of the highest values in the D segment of the market. This version, therefore, will represent Audi’s proposal for all motorists looking for a premium electric SUV capable of offering truly high autonomy. Also noteworthy are the excellent charging data, thanks to the800 Volt architecture. Restoring 260 kilometers of range takes just 10 minutes with an HPC charging station. The figure is 5 kilometers higher than that obtained by the all-wheel drive version of Audi’s SUV.
Prices and availability
The New Audi Q6 e-tron Performance will arrive in Italian Audi dealerships during third quarter of 2024. The model is destined to become the new entry level proposal for the full electric SUV range. It is, therefore, a potentially very interesting variant which will make the Audi model decidedly more accessible. The German company has already formalized the price list of this new variant. The range will consist of three trim levels (Business, Business Advanced and S Line) with prices starting from 73,300 euros. It will be necessary to wait for the next few weeks for orders to open for this new variant.
