Snaitech publishes the 2023 Sustainability Report Il Tirreno

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – Snaitech’s 2023 Sustainability Report has been published, on the occasion of the sixth edition of Snaitech Sustainability Week, a week which, from 6 to 10 May, will see the company engaged in a process of comparison and sharing of the objectives and results achieved in the CSR field, during which there will also be moments of employee engagement, volunteering activities and much more.
“Protecting the planet today to safeguard the future of future generations has always been the fundamental principle of sustainable development. If the commitment of governments and international institutions is necessary to pursue this objective, there is however another side of the coin. We are the first to have to make a difference and give a deeper meaning to the word sustainability which in its original root means to support, defend – declared Fabio Schiavolin, CEO of Snaitech (in the photo) -. This is why presenting the 2023 Sustainability Report does not represent a formal fulfillment or an anniversary to be lived in a hasty and summary manner. On the contrary, it is an opportunity to reflect on the logic according to which an organization creates, collects and distributes value, taking into account not only profit but also the protection of the environment and the relationship with stakeholders”.
Now in its eighth edition, the Snaitech Sustainability Report aims to delve into the four pillars on which the universe of values, but also the company strategy, is based: the regulated market, innovation, sustainability and people.
As regards the first pillar, the regulated market, as a leading legal gaming operator, Snaitech plays a fundamental role as a safeguard of legality and guarantee for consumers. This is a commitment and a responsibility that the company takes very seriously and which it wants to convey to its employees: for this reason the company, in 2023, increased the training hours by 113% – reaching 3091 – dedicated to employees on the topics of compliance, responsible gaming, anti-money laundering and combating tax evasion.
As a demonstration of this strong commitment, Snaitech has obtained, for the ninth consecutive year, the G4 international certification on online gaming which evaluates the application of tools related to responsible gaming.
The second of the four drivers is innovation, the pillar on which Snaitech’s leadership is based, in first place, also in 2023, in the sports betting sector (retail and online, measured by GGR). The ability to innovate, anticipating or even launching new trends in a sector naturally dedicated to innovation and with very high technological content is what has distinguished the company in recent years and is also what led to the partnership with the innovative accelerator of startups in the sports and wellness sector, WeSportUp. Aware of the synergies that can be generated by the integration between physical retail and the online platform, Snaitech has worked to consolidate its online offer and guarantee a customer experience characterized by omnichannel.
Thanks to this strategy and the work to strengthen the digital infrastructure, in 2023 Snaitech’s revenues grew by 5.2% reaching 947.4 million euros while EBITDA increased by 4.9% to 256, 3 million euros.
The third of the four pillars of Snaitech’s identity is sustainability, conceived in its broadest meaning: the company, in fact, has been promoting numerous initiatives in the educational, social, cultural and environmental fields for years, with particular attention to the promotion of sport as a tool for aggregation and growth, as well as pure fun. It does so through its Foundation which, in recent days, has changed its name to become the Snaitech Foundation: a choice with which the company wants to further underline its commitment to sustainable development. Also in 2023, Fondazione Snaitech continued to support associations such as Special Olympics Italia, Fondazione Costruiamo il Futuro or Fondazione Francesca Rava and many others, reaching over 11,000 people through the supported projects. From an environmental point of view, Snaitech – in addition to collaborating with important companies such as Plastic Free and Rete Clima thanks to which more than 3000 trees have been planted – boasts the use of electricity coming 100% from renewable sources.
The last, but fundamental, pillar of the corporate identity is people: “a strategic and essential asset, as well as a true strong point of Snaitech”, we read in a note, which continues: “The attention towards people materializes in constant action aimed at creating a positive, inclusive and meritocratic work environment, within which everyone can express themselves freely, be valued for their abilities and increase their skills. This is demonstrated by the percentage of female employment, equal to 45%, and female presence in the Board of Directors, equal to 43%. Snaitech’s human capital not only represents a strategic asset but also an active and fundamental part in the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility commitment. Employees are in fact constantly involved in the company’s volunteering and CSR activities in general.”
