The world’s fastest triple-launch roller coaster has opened in America. Who made it? The Italian Zamperla, a Venetian company that provides attractions for entertainment giants around the world. After two years of work, the Top Thrill 2 opened at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio. The numbers? 193 kilometers per hour of speed and 128 meters of height.

Top Thrill 2 numbers
Top Thrill 2 is the fastest triple launch roller coaster in the world. It features three launches, each with moments of airtime (i.e. the feeling of weightlessness), plus the world’s fastest backflip. The first throw (forward): 119 kilometers per hourthe second throw (backwards): 163 kilometers per hour and the third throw (forward): 193 kilometers per hour. In addition to the launches, the attraction features the 128-metre vertical spire, as tall as the famous Top Hat, offering visitors one of the longest moments of weightlessness on a roller coaster.
Zamperla is not new to these challenges. In 2010 there was also the historic one Coney Island, the oldest park in the world which was relaunched by Zamperla when the Mayor of New York Bloomberg announced a tender for the relaunch of ‘Luna Park’ in 2010. After less than 100 days Zamperla managed to reopen the park.
