One of the most important dynamics relating to the world of electric cars is undoubtedly the inherent one the expansion of the charging network necessary to have stations available for everyone so as to never run out of battery.

One of the largest companies in this field is undoubtedly made up of Atlante, part of the NHOA group, a leading company which together with Stellantis and other partners is engaging in a project aimed at bringing Italy, France, Spain and Portugal a charging network made up of over 35,000 stations.

New funds from the EU

Apparently the company in question was selected by the European Union to receive a new loan amounting to 17 million euros to improve its charging network, thus bringing the overall amount received for its infrastructure to around 90 million euros, this sum will be used to install around 700 new fast and ultra-fast charging points, which will be powered entirely by renewable energy sources .

Stefano Terranova, CEO of Atlante has released a statement regarding this news

stating that: “For the third time, Atlante has presented a convincing project to the European Commission to promote zero-emission mobility in Southern Europe, once again taking advantage of our innovative approach. With this third recognition, we reach an impressive figure of 90 million euros in grants awarded to us in total to accelerate the deployment of 3,200 charging points along the most important logistics axes in Europe. This strategic financial support amplifies our mission and consolidates our role as a key player in Europe’s sustainable revolution. The fundamental support of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti clearly underlines the importance of public-private partnerships in achieving ambitious environmental objectives, as we all share the same planet and, ultimately, the same objectives, not just by installing charging points but by creating the arteries of the future eco-compatible mobility network. Allow me to extend my gratitude to our partners and stakeholders who supported the project and to my colleagues who worked hard to prepare it, as this represents the fundamental impetus to continue leading the way towards a more sustainable future.”.
