Not only is car tax not abolished, but it is also increasing, completely fleecing drivers who are now desperate.
The car tax is one of the most hated taxes by motorists: it is a mandatory payment which occurs only for the simple possession of a car.
For a long time there was discussion about abolishing it, but things never changed. In fact, now the situation gets worse: the cost of the stamp duty will increase further. Now Italians no longer know where to go to get the money.
Motorists are protesting loudly, but unfortunately nothing can be done: the decision has now been made and the tax will suffer from heavy price increases. It will be impossible to put aside any savings.
Many are worried about knowing how much more they will pay and they don’t know if they will be able to face this expense too. Now it’s time to sell the car and move around with alternative means.
Increase after increase
Every day Italians wake up and discover that there is an increase or an additional tax to pay. It’s not possible to go on like this: the expenses are far too many and in many cases appear unjustified, increasing people’s frustration. The tax increase is the latest blow that is depleting motorists’ finances.
Unfortunately, very little can be done about it and, as usual, this increase affects those who are already in difficulty. Get ready because if you want to save a few euros for the future you will have to stop using the car. It is the only way.
So you pay more for it
Many are talking about the absurd conditions due to which car tax is increasing. The reason is actually very simple: given that the cost of the tax also partly depends on the environmental class of the vehicle, the consequence is that those who have an older car pay more because this is not “green” enough. If it is true that those who have cars older than 20 and 30 years pay less, those who have a vehicle that is close to 10 years old or even more often find themselves paying a higher tax.
According to the Government, the choice to make those who have a vehicle with a low environmental class pay more serves to incentivize the purchase of vehicles that produce fewer emissions, even better if they are electric. The problem, however, is that people are left penniless and buying a new car is practically impossible. By continuing to harass those who are already in difficulty with ever higher taxes, we are only making the situation worse. Unfortunately we have to surrender to the fact that the tax will always cost more if you can’t change cars.
