What many discover only after making the conversion is a real economic blow, with 2,500 euros (or more) wasted in an attempt to save on fuel. While the prospect of cutting fuel costs seems attractive, few fully consider the financial aspects of converting to LPG before taking this road.

Choosing LPG: a cost and sustainability decision

Furthermore, it is possible that the car has less autonomy than when it used traditional fuels, which could mean a greater frequency of refueling and, consequently, an additional cost.
Investment and space considerations
The real convenience of this conversion is the subject of debate. First of all, it is necessary to evaluate the initial investment: installing an LPG system on a vehicle with a different fuel system involves costs of around two thousand euros.
This raises the question of whether this initial expense is justified by the long-term savings on traditional fuel. However, an often overlooked aspect concerns space. The LPG tank, despite being an environmentally friendly solution, occupies a significant portion of the car’s trunk, significantly limiting the space available for transporting goods or luggage.
