“The president and other administrators once again expressed their gratitude to Robert Kunze-Concewitz for his remarkable leadership and outstanding contributions over the past 17 years.” This is how Kunze-Concewitz’s tenure as CEO at Campari ended with a generous 30 million euro bonus.

As already announced in September 2023 the now former CEOpresented his resignation which became effective on 11 April 2024. “In recent years”, we read in the press release from the Garavoglia family company, “Bob’s contribution to Campari has been unparalleled, having helped grow the the company approximately 3 times in terms of net sales and profitability, thanks to a combination of organic and external growth, with 27 acquisitions since 2007, for a total investment of 3 billion euros“. Furthermore, “since May 2007, the market capitalization has increased more than 6 times to today reach 13.8 billion euros”.

Campari’s board of directors has selected Kunze-Concewitz as the new CEO Matteo Fantacchiotti, managing director Asia-Pacific business unit. “After graduating in Economics and Commerce”, we read in the Campari press release, Fantacchiotti began his career in the cosmetics sector. He then spent more than 20 years in the beverage industry at Nestlé Waters, Diageo, where he held key roles in the development of the global luxury division, and Carlsberg Group in various management positions with increasing responsibilities ranging from managing markets to leading global businesses of sales and marketing, opening new business units and launching new activities in both emerging and developed markets across all geographies”.

The Garavoglia heritage

According to Forbes.com’s real-time counter, Luca Garavoglia, president of Campari, has a net worth of 4 billion dollarsand is – as of April 11, 2024 – at 790th position in the ranking of the richest men in the world. Alessandra Garavoglia, Luca’s sister, is a board member of Campari Group and has assets of 3.5 billion dollars and is position 926 in the ranking of billionaires.
