MPS, assembly ok with 2023 budget and dividend

(Teleborsa) – The Ordinary Shareholders’ Meeting of Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena under the presidency of Nicola Maione, with a participation, through the Designated Representative, equal to 52.29% of the share capital, approved the financial statements as at 31 December 2023 which closed with a profit of Euro 2,021,525,016, 72 and resolved to distribute a dividend of 0.25 euros per share, for a total amount of approximately 315 million.

Finally, the Assembly resolved to appoint Raffaele Oriani, who declared himself independent, as Director, upon the joint proposal of some institutional investor shareholders; Standing Auditor, on the proposal of the shareholder Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), by Giacomo Granata; Alternate Auditor, on the proposal of the Presenting Members who presented the candidacy of the aforementioned Councillor, by Paola Lucia Giordano.

The report on the remuneration policy and the compensation paid were also approved, as well as the 2024 incentive system and related payment methods for group personnel based on “phantom shares”.
