The project “Present your book with us” is aimed at making Palau attractive from a cultural point of view, encouraging the presence of authors and writers to present their works in the Municipality of Orso. Temporally it refers to spring and above all to summer in order to offer, in particular to the tourists present, cultural and informative moments to complete the beach days. Something that has already happened in the past, with the presence of well-known authors and which we now want to encourage and increase.
To do this, the Municipality not only makes the premises available to the author free of charge to host the information event, and its staff, but offers support for the creation of posters (with the Municipality’s logo), for free printing if the author has no sponsor, 30 posters, with relative exemption from the advertising tax as well as the promotion of the initiative on the usual communication channels, particularly within social networks. The author must be of age; the paper work must be your own and not that of third parties; It must not have an explicit political, religious, defamatory content, against common decency or sexually explicit content, with content devoid of scientific basis by the international community; must not promote commercial activities carried out by the author; it must not have already been presented in other spaces and places in the municipality of Palau.
The Library service will contact the selected authors to draw up the calendar of meetings, based on their availability. The presentations will take place in the premises or places made available to the municipal administration and at times that will be agreed between the parties.
